Duration : 8:30am – 5:30pm DISTANCE : 434.3 KMS
Meeting point : Bus stand in front of science meausem
The route we followed :
Start at Pragati maidan – Dhaula kaun – Gurgaon expressway – Manesar (NH8) – Neemrana fort – Baoli – Back to delhi .
The day was special . And it turned to be more special . A ride with TEAM456 . I was waiting frm many months to have a ride with thm . I already missed a one day ride with them , which was planned for bharatpur bird centuary . I confirmed my confirmation to VINOD (co-founder of TEAM456) for the VDAY ride . The ride was open for all couples as well as solo riders . I had to went on the ride solo , bcoz my partner coudnt join me as it was bloody Sunday . Before the ride could actually take place , I was called up by a NAVBHARAT TIMES’s reporter . He asked me certain questions about this VDAY ride n wanted to know my reviews about it . n soon I was there in NAVBHARAT TIMES on 2nd page of 8th feb 2010 . I was excited for the ride before , bt the excitement doubled after I looked at the newspaper on 8th .
Finally the wait ended n 14th was here . The meeting point was “ Bus stand opposite science museum “ . Everyone was supposed to reach there at 8:30am . Bt I was there before 8 . I was the first one to reach the meeting point . In a few minutes two more riders arrived . One was ABHISHEK THAKUR on his RE . Soon came a GLADIATOR . . . I was a bit confused if that was there to ride , and yes it was . Hats off to the man who owned tht gladiator n ride it almost 3000kms a month . Forgot his name ,bt yeah he works in home ministry of india . Soon some more riders arrived n now we were 6-7 riders . We searched for a tea stall n went there . Many other rides came after we went to the chai wala . Soon vinod called up abhishek to knw abt our locations bcoz he cudnt locate the khopcha of the chai wala . . . lolzz. . . After the chai , we went out n saw many bikers . There we waited for around 15min and the ride began . Parmesh kumar was leading the group n vinod was at the tail . All bullets , pulsars , a couple of karizma’s , avenge , cbz , gladiator , r15 resulted in more thn 60 riders in the ride . It was big ! ! ! We were on NH8 soon . .
Interaction with other bikers gave me some new friends . its hard to rember names in sucha short period . so v gave everyone a new nick name . The names were chotu , lalli , lalla , ibm , home ministry , bpo and jugad . We were a small new group tht time . . riding just after Parmesh gave us free roads J . With one stop in the mid way at manesar , we stopped near neemrana for our breakfast . Many were sure tht the place has never hosted so many ppl at a time . Waiters was confused , felling hard to manage , late order n more late food . . It was kind of a money chase I guess . . Our small group ate alloo pyaz pranthas . And all other ate accordingly .
We were at neemrana around 1pm . After knowing the rates for entering the fort almost everyone decided to stay out . The rates were whooping 500rs per person . . As many were outside , soon everyone got busy in clicking pics n was noticed talking to each othr ki “AB KYA KARNA HAi ” . We decided to return back home . Bt as we were about to reach our bikes at the parked area . . We spotted . . . . One HARLEY FAT BOY , VICTORY , and a YAMAHA ROADSTAR . Tht blowed a cool wave inside us . Those were treats for our eyes n cameras . . Getting clicked wid the beasts was in process when vinod came to know about a place just 1kms away frm there . It was BAOLI . Its was used by maharaja’s to store water . . We went through the muddy way to baoli . . Parked our bikes . . n I started to get down to the lowest flor of baoli . It was 9 floors under ! ! ! I stopped after reaching a certain floor . Bt our home ministry man was so eager that he went to the 9th floor n found a cave like thing there . whts tht . . . ? ? Home ministry man was inside the cave , gr8 madness for exploring tht was . . I returned on the ground level (out of baoli) with speeding heartbeats and inhealing oxygen a higer rate . . It was sun looking at us so brightly . . garmi garmi . . soon came up lalli bhai . He was in same condition n demanded water frm me . We waited for all to come out n see there red hot faces . We then decided to turn back home after tht . My small group was deciding something and in the mean time I zoomed away at 125kmph back to my home . Actually I was missing my love so much tht didn’t wanted to see anymore couples tht time . Pls note I said “tht time” . Sorry to all bcoz I didn’t said bye to anyone tht moment . I was at home whn my watch showed 5:30pm .
